A few hair myths we`d love to put to rest for good:
"Trim your hair and it`ll grow faster." Hair growth happens at the scalp. Regular trims just get rid of the wear and split ends that make length look thinner and rougher before it actually is.
"Air drying is always the safer choice." Hair is actually at its weakest when it`s wet. Walking around soaking for hours can do more damage than a blow dryer with the right heat protection.
"This product can repair my split ends." Once hair splits, that`s structural damage. Product can smooth it over for a wash or two, but the only actual fix is trimming it off.
Most of this stuff sounds true. That`s what makes it stick. It`s also why our stylists keep learning long after they`re licensed.

Long hair doesn`t always mean full hair.
This guest already had length, but she added extensions anyway for the thickness and movement that`s hard to get otherwise.
We matched them close to her natural color and layered in a soft, dimensional balayage so the length and the color transition together instead of looking like two separate things happening at once.
When the color is painted by hand and blended low into the root, the grow-out looks intentional instead of two-toned.
It takes patience in the chair, but you end up with hair that catches light and moves instead of hair that just sits there.

Going from long hair to a bob sounds a lot scarier than it actually is.
That`s a lot of length to let go of in one sitting.
For this hair transformation, we shaped it to sit right at the jaw and move with her natural texture. So once it was finished, it still looked like her, just lighter and a lot easier to deal with day to day. 🙌
